The technology of fused cast bricks was first invented by the Englishman Kennedy in 1923! Fused cast brick is a refractory material made by melting and then cooling by electric arc heating, and its main components are alumina and silicate. The manufacturing process consists of mixing selected zircon sand and industrial alumina powder in a certain proportion, adding a small amount of flux, and then casting and molding after melting in a high-temperature electric furnace. Its crystalline phase structure consists of corundum with zirconium plagioclase eutectic and glassy phase. It is mainly used in metallurgy, glass, chemical and construction industries. Due to its excellent performance, electrofused bricks have been rapidly and widely used in these fields.
Modern fused cast bricks technology has undergone continuous innovation and development, from reduction to oxidation. It is mainly used in high-temperature industrial fields, such as glass industry pool kiln, glass electric kiln furnace, and slideway in steel industry. With the progress of production technology and environmental awareness, the performance of electrofused bricks has been optimized and the application areas are expanding, while paying more attention to environmental protection and sustainable development.
