Product Details

Production method:

As a high-performance refractory material, mullite thermal insulation brick plays an important role in many industrial fields. The brick uses mullite (3Al₂ O₂ · 2SiO₂) as the main crystal phase, and its alumina content is usually between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, its mineral composition also includes a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite, and for varieties with higher alumina content, it also contains a small amount of corundum. This insulation brick has a number of significant advantages:

Main characteristics

Low thermal conductivity: It has good heat insulation effect and is suitable for industrial equipment that needs heat preservation.

Low heat capacity: Due to the low thermal conductivity, less heat energy is accumulated, which can significantly save energy in intermittent operation.

Low impurity content: contains extremely low iron and alkali metal oxides, making it high in refractoriness and maintaining good performance even in a reducing atmosphere.

High hot compressive strength: can maintain good mechanical strength at high temperature.

Accurate dimensional accuracy: Ensure the fast masonry speed, reduce the amount of refractory mud used, enhance the overall strength and stability of the masonry, and extend the service life of the lining.

Customized shape: can be processed into special shapes according to specific needs, reducing the number of blocks and masonry joints.

The common lightweight mullite insulation brick size is 230mm × 114mm × 65mm, and the main models include JM23, JM26, JM28, JM30, etc. The difference between these models is that the content of aluminum oxide and ferric oxide is different, which affects the performance indicators such as refractory temperature, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion rate that bricks can withstand.

JM23: Aluminum oxide content is about 65%, suitable for medium temperature insulation occasions.

JM26: The content of aluminum oxide is about 68%, which is suitable for a higher temperature range.

JM28: The content of aluminum oxide is about 70%, which is suitable for higher temperature range and has good thermal stability.

JM30: aluminum oxide content of about 72%, suitable for special high temperature occasions, with high refractoriness and thermal stability.
