Product Details

Production method:

Glass kiln silica brick is one of the key refractory materials of glass furnace, which has high refractoriness, load softening temperature and high temperature volume stability. It is a refractory material made of quartz sand as the main raw material, adding appropriate amount of clay or other binding agents, and through molding, firing and other processes.

Silica bricks can maintain good structural strength and stability at high temperatures, have a long service life, have strong corrosion resistance to acidic furnace gas and molten glass, and have good thermal conductivity, which can reduce heat loss. Improve the thermal efficiency of the furnace. Silica bricks are widely used in the key parts of glass furnaces: furnace roof arch, flue arch,

The preparation process of glass kiln silica brick includes the selection of high-quality quartz sand, clay, feldspar and so on as the main raw materials to ensure the stability of the chemical composition of the raw materials and less impurities. After crushing, screening, iron removal, washing and other pretreatments, the raw materials are accurately weighed according to the product formula, and the raw materials are mixed evenly by stirring and other methods. After granulation, the mixed raw materials are put into a mold to apply pressure to make it into a silica brick green body of the desired shape. The green body is then dried to remove moisture and prevent deformation and cracking during firing. Finally, the dried green body is put into a high-temperature kiln for firing, so that the material in the green body is burned off, and at the same time, the minerals in the silica brick undergo phase change and crystallization, forming a stable silicate structure, and improving the strength and refractory properties of the silica brick.

The density, apparent porosity, room temperature pressure strength, load softening temperature and other indicators of silicon brick are also important parameters to evaluate its performance.

Application: Silica brick can maintain good structural strength and stability at high temperature, has a long service life, has strong corrosion resistance to acidic furnace gas and molten glass, and has good thermal conductivity, which can reduce heat loss and improve the thermal efficiency of the furnace. Silica bricks are widely used in the key parts of glass furnaces: furnace top arch, flue arch.
